I'm going to show you a free WordPress plugin that's going to enhance your
admin and site all from this plugin. Plus, it's easy to use and it's
straightforward. I also want to give a shout out to Alberto Olivera Jr
for putting me out to this tool. Thanks to him, I'm going
to show you this tool. Let's get started. What's up, Sasmasters? Like I said, I'm going to show you the free version of Admin and
Site Enhancement plugin for WordPress. There's also a pro version, but in this video, I'm going
to show you the free version. Everything you're going to see, it's free. So let's get started. So search for this one to install it on your WordPress site,
jump over to WordPress, plugins, add new and search for Admin and site
enhancement and install and activate it.
So it's this one by Bowow. So once you have that installed,
you're going to be able to view it here in the tool section and there's
a new option here, enhancements. So let's click on that and we're going to
be created with the options right here. But before we get started, I want to show you our sponsor for this
video, which is hosting group. And I'm going to show you their
great pricing that they have. I'm actually using their
shared hosting and BPS. So to check out their plans, jump over to the link in the description,
jump over to hosting. And in this case,
I'll show you their BPS plans. Let's jump over here. They have several BPS plans. And what I like about it is
that you get your own IP. So you're not sharing your IP with anyone
else and you have dedicated limits. So let me show you the KBM2,
which is $7.99 a month. I'm going to add it to cart. And once we're here, we're going to be
created with choose the period of time.
So in this case, I recommend 24 months because you lock in the price
and you get a lower renal price. So once you lock that in, you're going to see that it's $191.76,
but there's an extra discount coupon code that I will be providing in the
description, which is SaaS Master. Go ahead and apply it, and the price is going to reduce to
$172.58. So take advantage of the coupon code
if you decide to grab a hosting plan. Let's jump over to the plugin. So like I said, once you install it,
you'll be adhering enhancements and you're going to have a lot
of options available here. It's multiple options that would be found in different plugins, but you have
an all right here in one single plugin. The beauty about this is
that it's super easy to use.
You tick these on and some of them have an extra setting,
which I'll show you in a bit. For example, if you want to enable
one-click duplication of pages, posts, and custom posts, correspond and taxonomy,
just go ahead and enable this. Content order, go ahead and enable. Media replacement, SBG upload. This is a really good one. So if you need to upload SBGs, you're going to select who can
be allowed to upload SBGs. So in this case, only the admin
and only the editor, for example.
So only these two roles can upload SBGs. So the option is really useful. External permalinks,
open all links in a new tab. So if you need to upload links in a new tab, by just enabling this, all the links
on your site will open in a new tab. That means that users are not
going to leave your page. If I click on a link right here,
it's not going to jump into that page. It's going to open a new tab
and it's going to stay open. For SEO purposes, it's much better. Allow custom navigation menu
items to open in new tab. Again, if you want to enable that,
auto publish post with missed schedule. If you want to enable that also, if you want to allow that or not,
just leave it off. The admin interface. If you want to clean up the admin bar,
we can do so here.
Remove various elements
from the admin bar. Let's enable it and we're
going to get extra options. For example, if I want to remove the WordPress logo,
which is this one here on the top left corner, which is going to take me
to the WordPress site, WordPress. Org, et cetera.
I don't care. I don't want to go there. So logo, bye-bye. Remove customized menu,
I'll leave that there. Remove update counter links. So maybe you don't want to get annoyed
from the counters, so remove those. Remove new content menu, no,
I'll try to keep that on. Remove Howdy, yes. Remove the help tab and drawer. We're going to clean up
the admin bar with this. Hide admin notices if you
want to clean that up. Disable dashboard widgets,
hide admin bars. This is useful when you have, for example,
membership plugin or something where users log in, well, you don't want
to allow them to view that top bar. Only the admins will view the admin bar.
Wider admin menu.
If you think it's too thin,
well, make it bigger. Admin menu organizer,
if you want to organize it, expand. We have the option to organize it,
so move these up and down. Tweak them to what you need most to have
it easier and you'll find it all the time. Enhanced list tables, so you go
ahead and enable that or off. Log in, log out settings. If you want to change the login URL,
which you should, and especially if you're using a security plugin, which should
have that, but if not, use it from here. Change the login URL
to something that's not common. Let's just say that, I don't know,
my name or Aguilar, instead of login or instead of admin,
et cetera, just enable it.
In this case, my demo site, no. Site identity on login page, so if you want to change it, log in, log
out menu, so enable that or disable it. Last login column, redirect after login. If you want to go to a specific page, if you want to go straight to the plugins
page every single time that you log in, well, it saves you time because
you don't want to go to dashboard. You want to go to the plugins to go ahead and update them right now, or the updates
page throw up, you can do so here.
And maybe just enable it for the admin,
for example, redirect after logout. So this is a good one,
especially if you have, for example, a membership plugin or something
like that, redirect after logout. So this is a good one, especially
if you have a membership plugin. So for example, if they log out, send them to your promos page,
to the About, or wherever you want to send them, go ahead and do it
by doing it this way. Custom code.
You get a lot of options for custom code. Custom CSS for the admin
and the front-end. Go ahead and enable it and you have
the option to add your own CSS. This is for fine-tuning
your site if you know CSS. Insert headbody or footer code. This is really good, especially you don't
need to download a specific plugin. You have it already here. And especially if you don't want to tweak
it over here on the file editor because you don't want to mess up the site,
do it from here.
You got all the options here for the code. Custom body class, manage the ads. Txt and manage the robot.
Txt. Robot.
Txt should be available in your SEO plugin, but if you don't,
you can do it from here. Disable components. Disable Goodenberg if
you're not going to use it. Disable block-based widgets,
disabled comments. Especially if your site is a corporate site where you don't have blogs,
you don't have anything like that? Well, don't allow comments
on post, media, or pages. Disable REST API. Maybe a little bit safer,
especially if you're not using it. Disable feeds.
Disable all updates. Disable smaller components. Then we have the security options,
limit login attempts. And you have more options for the author's
logs, the email address of use cater.
You can enable that or disable it. Disable XML.
Rpc. Hackers really try to go
to this site a lot. This part of your page, so you can go ahead and disable
it if you are not using it. Optimizations, image upload control, so resize newly uploaded
images straight from here. If you have an image optimizer,
you would have that setting. Revision control, heartbeat control,
if you want to reduce the heartbeat because sometimes your site, well,
your hosting plan doesn't… You have lower tier and you don't want
to stress it out, reduce the heartbeat.
Then utilities. You have utilities for email delivery,
multiple user roles, admin as a role, password protection,
going to maintain its mode. Redirect 404 to homepage. So instead of going to 404,
it'll go straight to homepage. It's a good one.
Disable system summary. So all these tools you are going to get
with the free admin and site enhancement. There's a pro version in case you want
to have more options, but in case you're good to go with this
one, just go ahead and search for it in the plugins or check out
the link in the description. And don't forget to use the coupon code
that I provided for your hosting or plan to grab that BPS at a lower price if
you are in need of a re-hosting plan.
And that's a wrap for admin
and site enhancement plugin. That's a wrap..
